The historic trekking route from Chapursan (Chipurson) Valley in Upper Hunza through Chilinji Pass towards Karomber, Ishkoman, and Broghil has reopened after being closed for several years.

A trekking group has set off toward Broghil Valley through Chilinji An after many years of closure. This update was shared by Alam Jan Dario, the owner of Pamir Trail in Zood Khun, who has been active in promoting trekking and tourism in the region. The reopening of this historic route is a significant step for adventure seekers and for local communities who depend on tourism.
Chilinji An, also known as Chilinji Pass, stands at about 5,335 meters. It connects Chapursan Valley of Upper Hunza with Karambar Valley in Ghizer. The pass is rugged and remote, making it a challenging but beautiful route for trekkers. Just beyond lies Karambar Lake, one of the highest alpine lakes in the world, known for its clear waters and stunning mountain backdrop. For years, this area has been a hidden gem for those who manage to reach it.

کئی سالوں بعد آج دوبارہ ایک ٹریکنگ گروپ چِلِن جی آن کے راستے بروغِل وادی کی طرف روانہ ہوا ہے۔ یہ خبر پامیر ٹریل کے مالک عالم جان داریو نے شیئر کی، جو زوڈ خون کے رہائشی ہیں اور علاقے میں سیاحت کو فروغ دینے کے لیے سرگرم ہیں۔ اس تاریخی راستے کا دوبارہ کھلنا سیاحوں اور مقامی آبادی دونوں کے لیے خوش آئند بات ہے۔
چِلِن جی آن تقریباً 5335 میٹر بلند ایک مشکل مگر دلکش پاس ہے جو وادی چیپورسن (ہنزہ) کو وادی قُرومبر (غذر) سے ملاتا ہے۔ اس کے قریب ہی قُرومبر جھیل واقع ہے جو دنیا کی بلند ترین جھیلوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ شفاف پانی اور برف پوش پہاڑوں کے سائے میں یہ جھیل قدرتی حسن کی ایک نایاب مثال ہے۔ برسوں سے یہ علاقہ صرف اُن چند سیاحوں کے لیے کھلا رہا جو اس مشکل سفر پر نکلنے کی ہمت رکھتے تھے۔

مختصر یہ کہ آج کا یہ قدم صرف ایک گروپ کی روانگی نہیں بلکہ ایک پرانے راستے کی بحالی ہے جو قدرتی حسن، تاریخ اور ثقافت کو یکجا کرتا ہے۔ قُرومبر جھیل کے دلکش مناظر، چِلِن جی بلندی اور چیپورسن کی انوکھی ثقافت مل کر اس علاقے کو پاکستان کی سب سے بہترین ٹریکنگ منزلوں میں بدل سکتے ہیں۔
