Musicians, poets and singers can help restore endangered language
Alam Jan Dario is the best oldest poet of Wakhi Language
There are a few thousand Wakhi speakers on the roof tops of the world, located in northern Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and the China province of Xingcheng. The Wakhi language is counted among the Endangered languages, some of which may have survived a few years. The culture, rituals, dress, and music of this language are essential for keeping every language alive.
Today, to keep the language alive, there is the "Wakhi Tajik Culture Association", which came into being in the Gojal Valley on the 1990s, and started Wakhi Broadcasting with the participation of Radio Pakistan.
On the occasion of 1988 or 1990, Alam Jan Daroi suggested that he start writing poetry and ghazals in Wakhi language and to color it, his cousin Fazal Rehman Shereen Sadu, who has a beautiful voice, joined him and there beautiful voice, lyrics, poetry, and music made a place in the hearts of not only Wakhi people but also people of other languages. Fazal Rehman got a chance to record in the show of Radio Pakistan and his voice started echoing in every corner. The names of Alam Jan Daru and Fazal Rehman became popular among Tajiks from Pakistan to Tajikistan. The flourishing of every Gathering and the Wakhi language gave a new color and the youth to love their culture.
