The first Diamond Jubilee school in the area was established in Zoodkhun in 1970. It was a primary school for boys and was started in the local Jamat Khana. Mr. Sarfaraz Khan was appointed as the first teacher.

Over the years, the school became co-educational and the girls from the twin villages also got a chance to get an education. The school continued till grade 5 till 1986 when it was upgraded to the middle level. Also in 1986, construction started on a proper school building with the help of community members and local donors and in 1987, Diamond Jubilee Middle School, Zoodkhun, moved into a purpose-built school campus with 8 classrooms. The land for the school was donated by Mr Ashoor Baig and faimly .

As enrollment increased and the school grew, so did the requirement for teaching and learning spaces. In 2005, the Central Asia Institute constructed 8 more classrooms to facilitate the school.

In 2010, the school was upgraded to a high school and in 2012, three more rooms were added to the school campus.

In 2016, the name of the school became Diamond Jubilee High School, Zoodkhun Shetmirg to reflect the 2 villages it primarily serves. Today, the school has all the facilities of a modern high school, including a library, a science laboratory, and a computer lab with internet. It offers classes pre-primary to grade 10 and has an enrollment of more than 200 students who are taught by 17 teachers.
